In this book, we go back in time, over 20 years earlier, and discover how and why Nathaniel Hawkins, once a young, feisty and passionate man went from being a Bobby in Victorian London, to a cold and ruthless police inspector.The main story, in book 1-2 and 4 (set to be published in January 2014) is about Emily, a young naïve yet stubborn girl seeking the murderers of her mother, who teams up with a cold, slightly misogynistic police inspector named Hawkins. Hilarity, adventures and angst ensues. Yup.
